Duggee Sloy - Disqualified From Additional Race

On 10 September 2025 Harness Racing New South Wales (HRNSW) Stewards conducted an Inquiry at which time the horses DUGGEE SLOY, DUTY OF CARE and TONYS DREAM were disqualified from the subject races.

In relation to the horse DUGGEE SLOY, it was disqualified from the following races at the Inquiry:

• Race 7, the HYLAND HARNESS FULL SUITS PACE (1609 metres) conducted at Menangle on Tuesday 8 April 2025;

• Race 5, the TAB REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS - METROPOLITAN HEAT 1 (2300 metres) conducted at Menangle on Tuesday 6 May 2025; and

• Race 6, the TAB REGIONAL FINAL - METROPOLITAN (LISTED CLASSIC) (2300 metres) conducted at Menangle on Saturday 17 May 2025.

Following the Inquiry, it was identified that the horse DUGGEE SLOY competed and ran third in Race 7, the TAB REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS - STATE FINAL (LISTED CLASSIC) (2300 metres) conducted at Menangle on Saturday 24 May 2025 as a result of it being placed third in the abovementioned TAB REGIONAL FINAL - METROPOLITAN (LISTED CLASSIC) (2300 metres) conducted at Menangle on Tuesday 6 May 2025.

Consequently, HRNSW Stewards invited the owner of the horse DUGGEE SLOY, Mr Darren Xerri, to provide submissions in relation to the consideration of AHRR 195A and the circumstances involving DUGGEE SLOY as to whether the horse should/should not be disqualified from Race 7, the TAB REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS - STATE FINAL (LISTED CLASSIC) (2300 metres) conducted at Menangle on Saturday 24 May 2025. No submissions or correspondence were received.

HRNSW Stewards have determined, pursuant to AHRR 195A, that the horse DUGGEE SLOY should also be disqualified from Race 7, the TAB REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS - STATE FINAL (LISTED CLASSIC) (2300 metres) conducted at Menangle on Saturday 24 May 2025.

Mr Darren Xerri was informed of his right to appeal this decision of HRNSW Stewards.
