Tuesday Stand Start Condition Change

Due to the upcoming Summer Carnival the standing start race programmed each Saturday cannot be scheduled therefore the condition on the Tuesday standing start race (Code 01 each week) has been amended to open this race for more horses to maintain opportunities.

The revised conditions are as follows:

NDC. NMC. Band handicap for horses that have not won a Band Handicap or an Open Pace at their past 3 starts. No Band FT, Band 5/Band 4 10m, Band 3/Band 2 20m, Band 1 30m.

This change has been implemented with immediate effect.

Jim McNeil Memorial & Our Overannova Feature Trot

The 2026 Jim McNeil Trotting Championship is scheduled earlier in 2026 with Heats on Friday January 23 and Friday January 30.

The Final will be held on February 7, 2026 alongside the $27,186 Our Overanova Trotters Marathon, a Listed event.

QBRED Sustaining Payments

With QBRED pay-up deadlines approaching this is a reminder of the process involving QBRED sustaining payments:

1. Rising 2YO’s:
   1. As of December 1, 2025 Racing Queensland (RQ) will begin automatically invoicing all clients listed as owners of a QBRED eligible horse.
   2. The invoice will have a payment deadline of 28/02/2026.
   3. If the horse has not yet been transferred into the correct ownership clients are encouraged to complete their transfer of ownership now to ensure the QBRED invoice is forwarded to the correct owner.
   4. If a QBRED eligible rising 2YO is not a racing proposition or you do not wish to pay up for the horse at 2YO please contact RQ prior to the December 1 deadline to advise.
2. Rising 3YO or older
   1. If a 3YO or older horse had not been previously paid up as a 2YO the owner must make application by December 1, 2025 deadline to pay up for QBRED. (An invoice will only be raised upon the owners request)
   2. Horses that had already been paid up by way of a 2YO Series fee in a previous season will already be QBRED Paid For Life, therefore no more payments are required.
3. QBRED Foal Fees
   1. For all QBRED eligible foals born this season Racing Queensland will automatically invoice the QBRED Foal fees in bulk at the end of the breeding season. (invoicing from April 1, 2026)
   2. No application is required from owners
   3. Owners that do not wish to paid a QBRED Foal fee will need to contact Racing Queensland prior to April 1, 2026.
   4. If a QBRED Foal fee is not paid up within 12 months of birth the horses QBRED eligibility is permanently terminated.
