It has been a major year on track for trainer-driver Jack Trainor who is hoping to end the season with more success.

The 28-year-old has driven six Group 1 winners this year and his next major target is the Inter Dominion that starts in Victoria tonight.

Trainor has two horses aimed at the series with Perfect Stride and the recently acquired Wolf Stride who will have his first start under Trainor’s guidance at Ballarat tonight.

Wolf Stride has drawn inside the second row for his heat and is fourth in the line of betting with Victorian pacer Mach Dan the favourite from barrier two.

Perfect Stride has drawn barrier two for his qualifier and is the third favourite and drawn alongside the main fancy Better Eclipse.

Despite campaigning interstate, Trainor has six starters at Menangle tonight including last-start winner Stingray Tara in the Group 3 Tony Turnbull Free-For-All.

The iForm best bets for Saturday:

Menangle best bet

Race 1: Unfazed (9)

Not much luck enjoying a charmed run last start. Takes beating although drawn the wing.

Menangle next best

Race 6: Jilliby Kung Fu (6)

Handy QLD form before spelling but sparkling Menangle trials suggest he can be prominent.
