New South Wales bred pacer Captain Ravishing has made headlines all over the world following his Breeders Crown triumph in Victoria last weekend.

Captain Ravishing broke the 2240m Melton track record winning the Group 1 and now eyes will be turned to his younger half-brother Mufasa Bart racing at Penrith tonight.

The two-year-old had his first win in four starts at Bathurst on October 26 – his second start with trainer Belinda McCarthy.

Mufasa Bart is one of four starters for McCarthy tonight and the Grand Circuit-winning trainer also has her pacers Halsey Nicole and Muscle Bart in heats of the NSW Breeders Challenge Regional series.

This is the start of a few big days for McCarthy’s stable as she prepares for another major interstate campaign.

McCarthy has four horses in the Inter Dominion Pacing Championship that begins in Victoria at Ballarat this Saturday night. This includes the favourite for the series, Spirit Of St Louis as well as Expensive Ego, Alta Orlando and A Gs White Socks.
