Lucas Rando.
Concession reinsman Lucas Rando has won his last two drives and will be looking to extend that winning streak at Penrith tonight.
The 20-year-old will partner Southbound Train in tonight’s feature event, the PJ Hall Memorial, drawn in barrier one.
Rando’s dad James Rando prepares Southbound Train and the father and son combination won Penrith’s feature race the Ladyship Final last September with Seastorie providing young Rando his biggest win in the sulky.
Following Rando’s two recent victories, he has now driven 20 winners.
Also on a winning streak is premiership-winning trainer Paul Fitzpatrick who has Full Brother engaged in tonight’s feature as well.
Fitzpatrick has a winning strike rate of 22 per cent this season, his best since the 2009/10 season.
