Trainer Jason Grimson.

He has won some of Australasia’s biggest races this past year and trainer Jason Gimson has his eyes set on another major feature.

The Menangle Park-based horseman will fly the flag for Australia in today’s time-honoured New Zealand Cup with his pacer Majestic Cruiser.

Grimson arrived in NZ last week to put the final touches on Majestic Cruiser.

“The horse has settled in really well and it probably picks him more when he goes to a new environment,” said Grimson.

Majestic Cruiser has been unplaced in his two starts since winning The Blacks A Fake Championship in July.

“I took him to Addington on Saturday morning and he felt awesome in work,” Grimson said.

Majestic Cruiser well step away from barrier two in the standing start feature.

With Grimson campaigning in NZ, he has no starters at today’s meeting at Menangle.

He is currently the third-ranked metropolitan trainer for the season.
