Sydney horseman Jason Grimson is ready to reunite with his pacer Majestic Cruiser in New Zealand once again.

The pair is on target to cause another upset in the Shaky Isles in next week’s New Zealand Cup.

Grimson trained Majestic Cruiser to victory in the NZ Messenger last April beating the powerhouse stable of Mark Purdon and his pacer Self Assured.

Before flying to NZ this time, Majestic Cruiser finished seventh in last Saturday night’s Len Smith Mile at Menangle and Grimson is adamant he can turn his pacer’s form around.

“I’ll have him spot on for the Cup,” he said.

Majestic Cruiser raced keenly in the initial stages of the Len Smith Mile and went off stride.

The victory went to his stablemate I Cast No Shadow.

The iForm best bets for Thursday:

Penrith best bet

Race 4: Luke John (3)

Could have their measure with stronger Menangle form than it looks against decent opposition.

Penrith next best

Race 8: Nyota (6)

Showed enough at both appearances for the new yard to be prominent in a wide-open affair.

Around the tracks

Tamworth best bet

Race 2: Startup (3)

Should find this easier than his past couple and draws to win.
