Talented mare Machs Legacy resumes from a spell at Penrith on Thursday night.

The four-year-old has not raced since March and has only had three starts this year.

Machs Legacy ended last season racing through the Breeders Challenge series where she finished fifth to Anntonia in the Group 1 final when they ran a three-year-old record mile rate of 1:49.8 at Menangle.

Cameron Ross trains Machs Legacy and the Menangle Park-based horseman has recently been campaigning his filly Steno in Queensland where she finished third in both the South East and Queensland Oaks.

As for Mach Legacy, the mare began her career in the Riverina and now boasts a record of six wins and 12 placings in 28 starts.

The iForm best bets for Thursday:

Penrith best bet

Race 4: Machs Legacy (3)

Despite patchy form amongst strong crowds last campaign could have their measure trialling impressively at Menangle.

Penrith next best

Race 2: Starzzz Reign (4)

Showed enough behind a handy type when resuming to figure prominently.

Around the tracks

Tamworth best bet

Race 5: Faiselle (6)

Looks the class runner and she should be able to bully her way to the front.
