Jack Trainor.

Following a successful hit-and-run mission in Queensland horseman Jack Trainor is back on home soil.

The 28-year-old won the Group 1 Golden Girl with Town Echo at Albion Park last Saturday night causing a major upset at starting odds of $81.

That was Trainor’s sixth Group 1 win as a driver with all those victories obtained in the last two years.

The Menangle Park-based conditioner will wear his trainer’s hat tonight with three starters engaged at Penrith where he has utilised the driving concessions of Jack Callaghan and Jack Brown.

Callaghan will drive Luke John for Trainor in race five while Brown will steer Pocket More For Less in race one and last start winner Captn Me in race four.

Trainor will be in full force at Menangle on Saturday night driving in six of the nine races after driving a double at that venue on Tuesday.
