Following the recent prizemoney increases announced for all Metropolitan race

meetings at Club Menangle, the decision has been made to rebrand the hugely

successful Club Menangle Country Series to the 'Waratah' Heats and Finals,

effective from the commencement of the July series.

The 'Waratah', which is the New South Wales floral emblem, was selected to

recognise the significance to the State with a nod to the eligibility requirements

for the series, which outlines that all horses must be trained by a NSW trainer

located a minimum of 100 kilometres away from the State's premier track.

Throughout the year, there are 11 series conducted, with the Waratah Finals

receiving a prize money increase to $25,000.

Waratah Heats will be conducted at various tracks across NSW for stakes of

$9996.

Series dates for the remainder of 2022 can be viewed via the below link on the

Club Menangle Website- https://www.clubmenangle.com.au/waratah-series/.

Racing Operations, David Wonson, on (02) 4645-2200.
